Model Online Guide
Many people think that building a plastic
model is difficult, however, these kits are specially
designed to be easy to assemble and user-friendly, even
for beginners. Assembly, painting, applying markings and
weathering, the fun of modeling is limitless. Let's take
a little look at the art of modeling!
Step 1:
Assembly
Assembly is one of the most fun parts of
modeling. As you combine each individual part together
you gradually begin to see the finished result appear
before your eyes. Just cut the parts off the sprues in
the order outlined in the instructions and glue them
together. It's that simple!
Step 1: Gluing
Glue parts together using the correct
Cement recommend by Hobbies R 4 U. Apply a small amount
of cement to one of the gluing surfaces and press the
parts together. Leave for a while until cement has
completely hardened.
Step 1:
Painting
Spray painting is recommended for large
parts such as car bodies. It is a lot quicker and will
give you a much better finish.
Avoid spray painting
on windy days or on rainy/cloudy days. Humidity in the
air will take off the shine.
Shake the can thoroughly so that all the
colors mix evenly.
Hold spray can about 12 inches away from
object. Spray on a thin layer of paint. Spraying too
much paint will cause the paint to run, resulting in a
poor finish. Spray on each new layer after the
previous layer has dried. Steady and patient work will
produce beautiful results. Allow paint to dry for
at least 24 hours. Protect the model from dust while
drying. And if you are
ready to purchase your hobby items Hobbies R 4 U can

needs! |
